Hi, I am Rachel Rowland!
Based in Cambridgeshire. I have always had a passion for photography, videography and editing.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family along with traveling and music events.
My keen focus is surrounding equestrian sports and animals, however I also enjoy the more intimate moments and behind the scenes on events that people can cherish forever. Photography really is something that brings me a lot of reward and happiness, being able to look back and reminisce on moments of time that brought a lot of emotions and memories. A gift that I will forever be grateful for.
How I became a photographer
I started like many, on a small compact camera that was a much begged for Christmas present. My friends and I would often stage "photoshoots" which consisted of a lot of barely recognisable poses and action shots, but of course there would always be that close up of a flower or abstract street capture that make my 10 year old ego soar. Eventually this transitioned onto a Nikon Coolpix P600, which then got sold on Facebook Marketplace for a Canon M50. I would then buy 2nd hand cameras to upgrade my lenses and this is where my professional career started to become a real potential. After years of working I now have my collection of Canon cameras and lenses which includes my R6 and R5mk2 along with my DJI drone and mics. I am always keen to learn about the latest technology and capabilities within the media sector and excited to see how my equipment grows.
